Hussein Mirsadeghi from Mondzorgpraktijk Uithof has been using Payt’s software for his declarations and patient invoices since January 2022. Previously, he used factoring, but for several reasons, he decided to switch to Payt. This choice resulted in more overview and control, better communication with patients, and no more defaulters.
Switching from factoring to Payt
“The handling of declarations and patient invoices was previously done through factoring, and the difference is significant!” says Mirsadeghi. “The reasons I chose Payt’s software are that I have an overview and control over all declarations, and the invoices are very clear both for me and my patients. As a result, you see that patients pay much faster.” The financial difference is also significant. “By using Payt, I save considerably on the costs I previously had with factoring.”
Payt offers an affordable and patient-friendly alternative to factoring. It not only supports the handling of the invoice to the patient but can also automate the clearing via VECOZO. The patient invoices are sent from the practice with an iDEAL button and QR code. Patients immediately recognize that the invoice comes from the practice and can pay easily and quickly.
Communication with the patient
Another major difference of Payt compared to factoring is the way of communicating with patients. With Payt, patients receive their invoice directly from the practice via email or post. This email contains a link to their own online dossier where they can find all invoices. From this dossier, patients can easily pay the invoice via iDEAL or communicate with the practice at the invoice level. Is there a mistake on the invoice? Or can the patient not pay the invoice all at once? Then it is resolved with one click.
“What I often hear from my patients is that they really appreciate being able to communicate directly with me instead of with a factor,” says Mirsadeghi. “Firstly, it is much more personal, which benefits the relationship I have with patients, and secondly, I can help them much better. I performed the treatment on the patient, so it makes sense that I, as the practice, am also available for questions about the invoice.” When asked if Mirsadeghi has much more work because of this, he can be brief: “No, not at all, very occasionally. But I no longer have defaulters.”
