Everyone is on board; colleagues and parents

Anyone living in Rotterdam or Zoetermeer (or in the surrounding area) who can and wants to take advantage of the conveniences of childcare is in good hands with Njoy, as evidenced by the GGD inspection report. The childcare company has three locations: two daycare centers, one in Zoetermeer, one in Rotterdam, and an after-school care (BSO) in Rotterdam. In total, nearly 200 children are cared for monthly across the three locations, so it’s conceivable that a substantial number of invoices need to be sent at the end of each month. “On average about 300 per month,” says Dennis Vermeulen, owner of Njoy.

Moreover, no two invoices are the same, so billing is a time-consuming task. At least, it used to be. Since April 2018, we no longer do it ‘manually’, but use Payt’s software.” The switch to Payt did cause some reactions among the parents: “The vast majority responded positively, but there were also fathers and mothers who did not see the benefit or missed the personal contact. They were, for example, used to calling if they had a question or comment about an invoice. That was at the beginning, but now everyone has come around. I am almost certain that there are no parents left who do not use Payt’s software for questions about invoices.

Makes life easier

The choice for Payt was quickly made when the opportunity arose. Vermeulen: “I am always looking for things that make life easier at home and in the workplace, for myself and for others. When I saw that our former financial administration lady was more than busy with invoicing and debtor management, I started looking for a solution.” This is how he discovered Payt; and, after further research, concluded that the smart software could relieve a great deal of pressure from the financial administration.

Vermeulen explains: “As an entrepreneur, you are happy with such conclusions, but not as an employer. After all, I was not aiming to make her redundant.” Therefore, he shelved the idea of switching to Payt, only to revisit it a little over a year later because the lady had changed jobs. “I could have chosen to hire someone again, but after an introduction and demonstration of Payt, it was clear to me: this solution is going to make life much easier for Njoy and for the parents. But I was only convinced when Payt indicated that they were willing to do everything to fulfill my most important wish: to link our planning system (Kindplanner) to their software. They had never done that before, but Payt succeeded and quickly too. Everything was arranged within two weeks.”

Improved payment behavior

Njoy has now been working with Payt for 16 months to full satisfaction: “The collaboration is pleasant: if something needs to be resolved or adjusted, someone from Payt is ready. Thanks to the link with Kindplanner and our financial administration system, life has become easier for us and the parents.”

Also nice: “The payment behavior of the fathers and mothers has significantly improved,” says Vermeulen. According to him, this is due to offering payment via iDEAL and because debtor management with Payt’s software is much more consistent, including sending payment reminders. “You can leave that to an employee, but if they work three days a week or are frequently sick, it’s impossible to manage your debtors consistently.” Payt made that possible, allowing Njoy to send only one or two cases per year to the collection agency instead of fifteen. Vermeulen: “Moreover, I notice that we still benefit daily and therefore also enjoy the conveniences of Payt. In other words: we Njoy Payt a lot.”
