As a developer of accounts receivable management software, Payt constantly works with sensitive information. To properly manage both the accounts receivable and collection processes, we need (personal) data from both the debtor and the creditor. Additionally, through an iDEAL integration, we ensure that payments can be made easily, which means we have digital access to the bank details of customers and users. When working with such sensitive information within an online platform, you want to be sure that your platform’s security is well-organized. We recently received that assurance in the form of an ISO 27001 certificate.
ISO 27001 Certificate
ISO 27001 is the international standard for Information Security Management System (ISMS). This standard specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS), in this case, our own Payt platform. A few weeks ago, an audit was conducted by the external party Lloyd’s Register using penetration tests. The specialists from Lloyd’s tested and checked Payt against a list of requirements and standards in the field of information security. Based on these tests, they concluded that Payt’s security is well-organized. With the certification we have now received, Payt can demonstrate and confidently state that its platform meets all requirements in the field of information security.
Proud
At Payt, we have taken the proper management of sensitive information very seriously since the company’s inception. Our colleagues continuously work on the security of the platform and make improvements where necessary. Although the certification did not come as a surprise, we are indeed very proud to have now received confirmation through certification. Now we can not only tell you that your information is safe with Payt; we can also show you!
