My first year at Payt has come to an end. I’m proud of how I’ve developed within the team and the contribution I’ve made to our growth. In this blog, I share how my journey began, what I’ve learned, what energizes me, and what I’m looking forward to in the future.

The first weeks at Payt

On my first day, I received a warm welcome from the marketing team. I was given time to set up my laptop and review the key documents.

During my first week, the team introduced me to the ongoing marketing activities and the goals for the year. This quickly gave me a clear understanding of what we are working towards as a team.

When I started at Payt, a major migration was already planned. The company was getting a new website. For SEO, this is a crucial moment. If such a migration doesn’t go well, all the established search engine rankings can be lost.

This allowed me to get started right away. It energizes me when I can add value from the beginning.

After the successful completion of the migration, I had the opportunity to delve deeper into the SEO performance and develop a new strategy for the coming year.

Connecting with colleagues happened naturally. The shared, healthy lunches at the office ensure that you get to know each other quickly.

My work

As an SEO specialist at Payt, I focus on increasing our organic visibility in search engines. This includes optimizing the website, technical SEO, link building, and continuously monitoring performance.

Since the rise of AI, the SEO landscape has been rapidly evolving. While it used to be primarily about your own website’s performance and link building, it’s now just as important to be visible across multiple channels. This can help you rank better in Large Language Models (LLM). Think of platforms like ChatGPT.

That’s why I not only engage in classic SEO tasks but also focus on our organic presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Business, and YouTube.

I see the developments around AI as an interesting challenge. On one hand, it changes how people search and find information, and on the other, it offers opportunities to make my work smarter and more efficient.

The company culture at Payt

Payt is not a ‘normal’ company. We work with people who have an entrepreneurial mindset and are naturally independent. This is reflected in the way we collaborate. Everyone is given a lot of trust and freedom to shape their work in their own way.

Payt assumes you are an expert in your field and provides the space to implement your ideas. If you present something well-founded, you often get the chance to actually make it happen. This not only provides motivation but also the confidence to keep innovating.

What I personally appreciate is the focus on efficiency. We intentionally keep the number of meetings low and prefer quick one-on-one discussions. This approach is practical and saves time.

The culture at Payt encourages people to contribute ideas, take responsibility, and genuinely commit to the company’s growth. And you notice that every day.

Looking back and ahead

My first year at Payt was truly a success. What stands out to me the most is how quickly you can implement ideas here. With short lines of communication, you can work much more efficiently.

I’ve often heard the comment, “Wow, do you handle all these SEO tasks on your own?”
Yes, it’s possible because efficiency is key here. Decisions are made quickly, without endless analysis or meetings. This allows us to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time.

My colleagues play a big role in this as well. I work with smart, dedicated colleagues from whom you can learn a lot. This collaboration ensures continuous growth.

Looking ahead, I’m curious about how the SEO landscape will continue to evolve. A lot is changing right now, which makes the field so interesting to me.

I’m excited to further increase Payt’s visibility.
