How did I end up at Payt? Payt was a sponsor of FC Groningen at the time. As a big FC Groningen fan, I once went with my father to watch a match in Payt’s skybox. There, I got into a conversation with some Payt employees and executives. I was invited to come to the office for a job interview, and the rest is history.

I was initially hired to primarily handle implementations as an implementation specialist, but the great thing about Payt as a company is that you don’t have to stay in one role. You are encouraged to think about what the company needs, and thus I came up with an additional idea to do more with our data. We have an immense database that we can use to make meaningful insights and potentially discover trends in different markets. So now, I am not only involved in implementing for clients but also in setting up a solid BI environment.

I have been working at Payt for 5 years now and still think it was the best decision I could have made. Great colleagues, a good working atmosphere, and every month we have a drink together with colleagues. What a ride it has been, let’s see what the next 10 years have in store!
