The work process of 216 Accountants
The traditional business model within accountancy focuses on compliance services. This means that once a year, it is retrospectively checked whether the company has acted in compliance. Richard Smid: “The added value that clients experience from compliance services is limited. To truly serve the client well, we need to focus much more on the administrative file instead of the compilation file.”
216 Accountants is much more engaged with its clients throughout the year. They bring forward the tasks that, in the traditional model, often take place much more at the end of the year. Richard: “We focus on our client’s administration, allowing us to discuss current data with our client rather than past data.” “We notice that we have a very different kind of conversation with our clients. For example, we are increasingly asked if we can also help them with debtor management.”
